Since its inception, the firm has focused primarily on default related matters for local, regional and national mortgage servicers. Legal services include foreclosures, bankruptcy, evictions and collections, plus a full array of defense and regulatory litigation. In April 1999, the firm expanded the scope of its services to include real estate settlements. Today, the firm provides full service cradle to grave representation on default matters throughout the five states which it covers. Default related services are generally provided on flat or blended fee schedules. Contested litigation is typically handled on an hourly basis. The firm incorporates technology and internal training to provide the most efficient and cost-effective representation to its clients. Attorneys oversee workflow processes in the foreclosure, bankruptcy and eviction departments, and Attorneys in the legal department and their support staffs manage the proceedings. The firm is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. Members of the firm are regular attendees at national and state mortgage conventions and are frequent authors on topical subjects in the mortgage banking industry. Draper & Goldberg, PLLC, was founded in December, 1996, by David W. Draper, Jr., Esq. and L.Darren Goldberg, Esq. Both founders were actively involved in creditors´ rights and real estate practices prior to their association. Initially, the firm provided legal services to the mortgage banking industry on matters arising in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. In 2001, the firm expanded its coverage to include Delaware.
